WHY SOJOURN?
Organised as part of the World Rural Health Conference '18, SOJOURN is the interface to India's rural health scenario. For those participating in the conference this exchange is designed to deliver a hands-on understanding of the context, complexities, Challenges and channels of service delivery for Rural Health in one of the fastest growing economies of the world.

WHY INDIA?
India is home to 1.324 billion people, with 70% residing in rural areas. India is similar to many of the developing countries with respect to its population size, GDP, natural resources, topographic and demographic diversity, dependence of economy on agrarian sector. But at the same time it is very unique with respect to its government structure, development ideologies and policies. Understanding how some of the organisations working in rural health have designed healthcare interventions for communities in some of the most challenging situations is an expedition in itself.

WHAT REALLY IS SOJOURN?
